Yash is a versatile Indian movie actor, TV actor, and playback singer who was born in Hassan, Karnataka, India on January 8, 1986, and is primarily known for his acting in Kannada movies. He belongs to a middle-class family where he lived with his parents and sister before entering to Kannada film industry. Currently, he is one of the most demanded actors in the South Indian Industry due to his serious acting skills, and gained more popularity all over south Asia. He gained more popularity in India after his movie “K.G.F: Chapter 1”, which was one of the superhit films of the year 2018.

Yash used to work at the KSRTC transport service, and later become a driver in the BMTC transport service like his father Arun Kumar J. His mother’s name is Pushpa, also has a younger sister named Nandini.

He completed his pre-university course education at the Mahajana Education Society. He discovered his passion for acting as a teenager and after completing his education, he joined an acting school “Benaka drama troupe” to follow his career in the Film Industry.

In 2004, Yash made his TV show debut in the TV serial “Nanda Gokula”. Later he appeared in several TV serials such as, “Malebillu”, “Muktha”,” Preeti Illada Mele” and more. His main target was to appear in the movies so after working in several TV series, he got an opportunity to become the cast member of the 2007 film “Jambada Hudugi”.

In 2007, Yash made his acting debut in the film “Jambada Hudugi” in a supporting role and he received Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance. Even though it was a minor role, Yash has managed to gain a lot of popularity in the film industry.

Finally, in the year 2009, he got a chance to play a lead role in the film “Gokula”, and this film was a blockbuster. He starred in the romantic comedy film “Googly” in the year 2013 which became the highest-grossing film of the year in the Kannada films industry.

But his huge breakthrough came when he appeared in the film “K.G.F: Chapter 1” in the year 2018. Due to this super hit film earning 250 Crore at the box office, he becomes one of the highest-paid actors in the South Indian Industry. This film is dubbed in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam languages.

On April 14, 2022, Yash starred in another blockbuster movie titled K.G.F: Chapter 2, the movie has already received positive reviews from critics and it seems it will break all the previous records at the box office. According to some reports, the total budget of this film is over 100 crores making it the most expensive Kannada film in history.
